I am pushing to change the course name of Physical Education to something more fully encompasses what we do.  I'm am thinking along the lines of "Personal Health and Wellness".  I will have to justify the request to the school board.  I am looking for any help with either a 'new name' for what is currently simply called PE or Phy Ed or gym and/or arguments to present to the school board for the name change.  Thanks!

A couple years ago my school district changed Physical Education to Wellness Education.  The first couple years I called my class PE/Wellness.  Lately I've dropped the PE part and just go with Wellness.

Cheers,

Robin

I've recently been asked to take my separate health class and separate p.e. class (middle school) and combine the two. I've also been asked to think of a name that will bring it all together. This is a tough one because I don't want it to sound "sissy" :)

I'm thinking it will be like a movement and health lab... but still so up in the air.
